A large field of USGTF professionals teed it up on August 22 at Renwood Golf Course in Round Lake Beach, Illinois, for the Central Region Championship. Mike Sidlinger of Peoria, Illinois, took home the championship with a Stableford score of 35 points (18-hole total of 73) to edge out Charles Henry of Caseville, Michigan, by a point. Joe DeLorenzo of Elk Grove, Illinois, Keith Dunklebarger of Pekin, Illinois, and Mason Richardson of Shelby Township, Michigan, all tied for third. Prior to the championship, on August 21, a USGTF pro-am was held that featured 17 teams in a fun-filled 2-best-balls out of 4 format.
