As a child, I was always interested in sports. I enjoyed watching and playing football, tennis and golf. I moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, in 1970 from Washington Twp., New Jersey, at the age of eleven. At that time, I took up the game of golf. My father, who is currently a USGTF Level lll Certified member, taught me the game. Both of my parents have always encouraged and supported me to pursue anything that made me happy. At the age of fourteen I became a member of the Piper High School golf team and played for four years. During that same time, I played in junior golf tournaments and caddied each year for the Jackie Gleason Inverrary Classic PGA Pro-Am Tournament held at Inverrary Country Club.

After graduating high school, I attended the University of Florida for four years where I obtained a Bachelors degree in psychology. I then attended graduate school at the University of Maryland for two years. During my six years of college, I played golf on an inconsistent basis, focusing more on my coursework.

In 1983 I obtained a position at a not-for-profit substance abuse treatment center in Delray Beach, Florida, where I had worked for the past 20-plus years. This past year I made a decision to leave the agency to focus on my golf game once again. In April 2004, I enrolled in the USGTF Level lll Certification Course and attended the course in Port St. Lucie. Bob Wyatt was with us as the instructor all week long. He was a pleasure to have as our instructor and the overall experience surpassed my expectations. I passed all of the requirements and became fully certified.

In May 2004, I became employed at the TPC at Heron Bay in Coral Springs and am now able to play the game as much as I want. As a result, my game has improved. I hope to incorporate my psychology background and my knowledge of the golf swing and the game into my teaching techniques. I am now 44 years of age and enjoy my new direction in life. I plan on continuing my education pertaining to the golf profession and hope to share my passion for the game we all call GOLF.
