Tammy Harris
USGTF Teaching Professional

I was the golf instructor on Norwegian Cruise Lines for several years, aboard the Norwegian Sea and the Norwegian Majesty. We traveled out of San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Barbados, Dominica, Antigua, St. Thomas (Virgin Islands), and back to San Juan for a week's cruise. Then, we would leave Boston, MA going straight to Bermuda for one week.

My itinerary was pretty simple - while at sea, I had to give a golf clinic for 1-2 hours a day while hitting balls into a net on the upper deck. Then, while at port, I had to golf at the island courses, which in theSouthern Caribbean was Sandy Lane Golf Club in Barbados, Golf Club Antigua, and Mahogany Run, St. Thomas, which was my favorite and the most beautiful. On the Bermuda trips, there was no golf instruction while at sea, so when you got to port you get to play golf for four straight days - absolutely gorgeous!

I have not cruised for 1 1/2 years because we decided to take vacations somewhere else for a couple of years, but I will be returning January.

Thanks USGTF for opening the door to so many opportunities.
