The USGTF is saddened to learn of the recent deaths of two of its longtime stalwarts.  Marvin Merritt, 82, of Middletown, Ohio, and Andy Ritondale, 90, of Indiantown, Florida, were valued members of the USGTF.
Marvin Merritt

Marvin Merritt

Marvin was a frequent competitor in the United States Golf Teachers Cup, and was the first Super Senior champion.  Known as “Coach” to all because of his background, Marvin also served his country as a United States Marine.
Andy Ritondale

Andy Ritondale

Andy was the first national coordinator for the USGTF, and along with his sidekick, the late Bill Evans, was at every certification course for the first several years.  He was known for his tremendous sense of humor.     The USGTF wishes to pass along our condolences to Marvin’s and Andy’s family and friends, and they will be greatly missed by all who knew them.
