The 17th annual United States Golf Teachers Cup will be held Wednesday and Thursday, October 24-25, 2012, at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada, a longtime USGTF favorite location. After results from a members survey were tabulated, the format will return to that from 2005-2010, and all participants will once again be eligible to win the overall championship.   “After conducting a member survey, we found the majority of respondents said they wanted a United States Golf Teachers Cup where everyone had a chance to win the overall title,” said USGTF president Geoff Bryant.   Play will be conducted once again in the Open (no age or gender restrictions), Ladies, Senior (50+), Super Senior (60+), and Legends (70+) divisions.  Additional prize money will be awarded to Ladies 50 and over.  Seniors will receive approximately a 10-yard per hole advantage over the Open division, and the Super Senior and Legends divisions another 10 yards.  Ladies will play from approximately 85 percent of the Open yardage, as per USGA guidelines for mixed-gender scratch events.  For reference, the blue tees at 6,568 yards will be used for the Open division.   The entry fee is $475 and includes two tournament rounds, range balls prior to and after play, closing banquet and awards ceremony.  To register, please call the National Office at (888) 346-3290 or (772) 335-3216.  This tournament is open to all WGTF members worldwide.
