Groundskeeper 1 – Full Time – Port St. Lucie, FL


We are immediately hiring for a Groundskeeper who will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and turf of golf course in playing condition as directed by Golf Course Superintendent.




Operate hand mowers on greens, aprons, tees, fairways, rough, lake banks, around tees, and grounds.


Exercise extreme care not to injure turf and shrubs.


Edge cart paths, flymo bunker faces, string trim lake banks and around tees, edges and rakes sand bunkers either by hand or machine raked.


Excavate and back fills trenches with hand tools, operate utility vehicles as required.


While operating equipment and hand tools, that all necessary and supplied safety equipment is worn such as safety glasses and ear plugs hard hats. All tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained as required.


Clean machines after use and make minor adjustments to the equipment under the supervision of the mechanic.


Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis and before use, inspect equipment before use and report problems or failure to the supervisor immediately.


Practice safety while operating equipment.


Report equipment or course issues immediately.


Perform job tasks with little or no disruption to the members and guests playing the golf course, return all equipment to the designated location and keep the maintenance areas clean and free of clutter.


Assist in project work as directed.


Pick up trash and debris while performing job duties.




No prior experience or training.




Valid Florida Driver’s License


Frequent standing, walking and lifting up to 50 pounds required on a daily basis.
