GOLF TEACHING PRO%u00ae 02 WINTER 2O26This certainly has to be one of the most exciting times in the history of the World Golf Teachers Federation, as, beginning in 2026, every member nation will merge into one entity, the WGTF. Founded in 1989, the United States Golf Teachers Federation has achieved tremendous success, leading golfers from many countries around the world to pursue the USGTF license. As a result, our brand has expanded globally into Europe, Asia, South America, the Caribbean countries, and Africa. During this expansion, we have been using the WGTF logo, alongside the USGTF logo. However, the problem of some countries using only USGTF name while others only WGTF, has hindered our federation%u2019s further success as our members in 88 countries lack a sense of belonging to the same federation. To address this issue, starting in 2026, a grace period will begin, and by 2027, all members will exclusively use the WGTF logo along with their respective country names. This will allow the United States Golf Teachers Federation to become a leader in the global golf industry, under one name, World Golf Teachers Federation. Our mission of creating opportunities for aspiring and seasoned golf instructors, enabling them to share their passion for the game with others, has not changed. In fact, it will only be enhanced with all nations now under one name. From seasoned professionals to newcomers to the teaching profession, we invite all to participate in our training, ensuring a vibrant future for golf instruction. Here in the United States, the 29th annual United States Golf Teachers Cup once again took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club. Congratulations go out to the winners: Mitchell Chang, Open Division; Kirk Junge, Senior Division; Ron Cox, Super Senior Division and Marcus Delgadillo and Lorenzo Delgadillo, Pro-Am Division. This is annually the largest gathering of USGTF and WGTF members and is an important part of our yearly calendar and is an event that all members should experience. In addition, there is a strong regional championship schedule that also serves to bring members together in a competitive and fun environment. These events are promoted mainly through our monthly e-newsletter that goes out to all members. We also completed revamping and upgrading our certification courses to better meet the challenges of the ever-changing world of golf instruction, where course attendees now meet with a more rigorous and involved educational experience to better prepare them for the lesson tee and beyond. Today%u2019s teachers come equipped with launch monitors, sophisticated video systems, and an array of teaching aids and tools that instructors in prior generations could only dream about. It is imperative that the members we train are well-equipped to be not only successful, but are able to compete with the best teachers in their areas for business opportunities. The WGTF remains poised to deliver outstanding training and opportunities for its members, and with all nations joining in one true federation, this will elevate both the federation and its membership to new heights.President%u2019s MessageBy Brandon Lee, USGTF President and CEOBrandon LeeGOLF TEACHING PRO MAGAZINE%u00aePRESIDENT & CEOBrandon LeeEDITORMark HarmanNATIONAL COORDINATORBob Wyatt, Jr.Mark Harman Jerrold EllstromBob CorboTony McMullinBruce SimsMike StevensNathan GuerreroJohn SavageBill RiceChristopher WarnerTOURNAMENT DIRECTORSJake Morris%u2013 Canada %u2013Brandon Lee%u2013 Korea %u2013John Carr%u2013 Canary Islands %u2013 Jack Correa %u2013 Brazil %u2013Ken Hill %u2013 Thailand %u2013Peter Hudson %u2013 Great Britain & Ireland %u2013Reymer Araya %u2013 Costa Rica %u2013Yumi Ogura%u2013 Japan %u2013Camille Paris %u2013 Spain %u2013Craig Roberts %u2013 Australia %u2013Nazeer Tajudeen%u2013 Tanzania %u2013Camilla Zeigler %u2013 Italy %u2013Anthony Benny %u2013 Trinidad & Tobago %u2013 Ricky Campbell%u2013 Trinidad & Tobago %u2013Steve Mak %u2013 Hong Kong S.A.R.%u2013Abbas Mustafa%u2013 Pakistan %u2013John Wee Chong Lee %u2013 Singapore %u2013Ruald Strydom %u2013 South Africa %u2013Bjorn Beekman %u2013 Netherlands %u2013Sachin Bhattarai %u2013 Nepal %u2013Bjorn Beekman%u2013 Germany %u2013 Jason Phan%u2013 Vietnam %u2013INTERNATIONAL AFFILIATESADVISORY BOARDMark Harman %u2013 Ridgeland, South CarolinaGeoff Bryant %u2013 Nova Scotia, CanadaJames Perez %u2013 Fresno, CaliforniaHerbert Lowe %u2013 Wellington, FloridaDavid Vaught %u2013 Sarasota, FloridaJim Moffat %u2013 Chambersburg, PennsylvaniaDave Shaver %u2013 Phoenix, ArizonaThomas Wartelle %u2013 Washington, LouisianaLeo Perlmutter %u2013 Sunrise, FloridaMichael Levine %u2013 Port St. Lucie, FloridaDave Peters %u2013 Montreal, CanadaWarren Root %u2013 Richmond, VirginiaBruce Munch %u2013 Port St. Lucie, FloridaThe United States Golf Teachers Federation through, innovative, effective swing mechanics and teaching methodology, establishes a national and international standard in training and certification for professional golf teachers.
