Now in its third year, this tournament has emerged as a vital platform for identifying and nurturing the nation%u2019s young golfing talent, fostering inclusivity, and advancing the sport%u2019s growth across Nepal. This year%u2019s edition welcomed 65 junior golfers, whose enthusiasm and skill illuminated the fairways. Notably, the inclusion of promising players from Pokhara and Dharan expanded the tournament%u2019s geographic reach, reinforcing its role as a truly national stage for youth golf development.A Vision for ProgressL aunched in 2023 by the Gyan Foundation in partnership with RNGC, the Gyan Memorial Golf Tournament was conceived under the forward-thinking leadership of RNGC president and youth development director Madhukar Yakthumba. The mission was clear: To provide a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable platform for junior golfers from all backgrounds, regardless of gender or region. Several participants from this debut have since risen to prominence on Nepal%u2019s junior circuit, a testament to the tournament%u2019s impact.2024: Expanding Horizons. The 2024 edition elevated the tournament%u2019s scope and ambition. Participation grew to 60 players, and a groundbreaking inclusion of senior lady golfers fostered greater gender diversity. This strategic move not only introduced dedicated categories and prizes for girls but also saw senior women mentoring and inspiring their younger counterparts, creating a supportive and inclusive environment. Enhanced age-group segmentation, refined scoring formats, and increased engagement from parents, RNGC members and coaches further elevated the event%u2019s professionalism and memorability.2025: A National Milestone. The 2025 tournament marked a defining chapter, with 65 juniors, including first-time participants from Pokhara and Dharan, showcasing the event%u2019s growing national footprint.
