GOLF TEACHING PRO%u00ae 51 WINTER 2O26STORIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD SINGAPOREcreate awareness by sharing experiences and reaching out to the masses through golf. After this overwhelming huge success, we are looking forward to future participation in this event again.Avid golfers in Singapore must be disappointed but not totally surprised that golf course leases will not be renewed for four of the 16 clubs in Singapore by 2035. National interest and housing needs will always have top priorities in Singapore. Obviously, it will be very sad to lose Tanah Merah%u2019s Garden Course, which has been graced by top names like Sir Nick Faldo, Greg Norman and LPGA greats like Lorena Ochoa, Karrie Webb, Annika Sorenstam, etc. Orchid Country Club, Warren and Mandai Golf Clubs, too, will also be walking down memory lane soon. With the reduction of golf courses in Singapore, we will see more golfers heading north to Johore and to Batam in the south for their summer golfing needs. Golf tourism continues to stay strong and vibrant for our neighboring countries and Singapore. Prices for green fees have increased over the last few years, too, due to strong demands. More indoor golf studios have sprung up on both sides of the causeway. There will be many opportunities for golfers to explore. Let%u2019s see how things will unfold as we look forward to another exciting 2026. Happy golfing and stay healthy.
