GOLF TEACHING PRO%u00ae 55 WINTER 2O26Our MissionWGTF-Germany has already shown in a short time that there is a strong foundation for the future. By investing in training, tournaments and cooperation, we are creating opportunities for instructors, students and golf clubs alike. Together with WGTF-Netherlands, we are building a network that not only raises the standard of golf education, but also connects communities and inspires the next generation of golfers.Building CommunityWhat has touched us most is the warm welcome we have received in Germany. Clubs and players have opened their doors with enthusiasm and curiosity. Collaborations have been constructive and positive, and in no time we found our instructors actively teaching at 15 golf courses. This means that the WGTF is not just present in Germany %u2013 we are already making a real impact on the market.Education and Development %u2013 Schmallenberg as a MilestoneA special highlight in this growth story was our first official German training, held at Golfclub Schmallenberg. This beautiful 27-hole course in North Rhine-Westphalia lies on a plateau between 420 and 520 meters above sea level, offering spectacular views over the Hunau and Rothaar mountains. Its rolling terrain and excellent practice facilities made Schmallenberg the perfect setting for our first German program. The day was dedicated to both practice and theory, with participants not only improving their own skills but also exploring new approaches to teaching and coaching. The enthusiasm and dedication of those present made this first step in Germany a genuine milestone.Looking Ahead: Master Program October 2025The next major step is already on the horizon. In October, six German colleagues will begin the Master Golf Teaching Professional program. This advanced training goes far beyond technique, focusing on coaching, mental development, junior golf and teaching methodology. The program will prepare German instructors to elevate golf education to new heights, both within their clubs and across the broader community.Tournaments and EventsWGTF-Germany is also working on organizing local tournaments and gatherings. These events are designed not only to strengthen golf instruction, but also to build connections and enjoyment within the community. By combining competition with learning, we are creating a vibrant network where instructors and students alike can thrive.International CooperationOne of the greatest strengths of WGTF-Germany is its collaboration with the Netherlands. German and Dutch participants exchange not only golf knowledge, but also cultural insights, communication styles, and ways of working. This creates a unique intercultural learning experience that enriches both professional training and personal development. Following the success of the Netherlands%u2013U.K. Interland, the next milestone will be the first Netherlands%u2013Germany Interland in 2026. This event will further strengthen our international ties, foster friendships and contribute to the growth of the WGTF in Europe.STORIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD GERMANYSince its official launch in January 2025, WGTF-Germany has made an impressive start. Within just a few months, we welcomed 42 members and established three active representatives who are dedicated to promoting WGTF across the German golf community.
