Do you know the difference between a golf teacher and a golf coach? Many think the terms are interchangeable, but in fact they are different.  A golf teacher gives instruction in the mechanics, customs, and etiquette of the game, while a golf coach prepares individuals and teams for competitions.  Until now, there hasn’t been an organization strictly for the benefit of golf coaches.

To meet this need, the USGTF has created the World Golf Coaches Alliance.  All WGTF members, PGA and LPGA Class A members and registered apprentices, and high school and college head golf coaches are eligible.  High school and college coaches who are not members of the above-mentioned organizations must complete the USGTF Level I course prior to receiving the WCGA curriculum.
