Cementing his status as the WGTF’s best player, Australian James Douris captured his fourth United States Golf Teachers Cup October 11-12 at Orange County National Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.  Douris did not let an opening triple bogey derail him, as his scores of 73-69 – 142 were good enough to defeat George Wilson (Brazil) and Matt Smith (USA) by two shots.  Darquise LeDuc of Canada captured the Ladies title with scores of 75-86 – 161.  Charun Chungaew (USA) won his first Senior division title with 72-74 – 146.  Canada’s Bill Hardwick, a former competitor on the European Senior Tour, won the Super Senior division with 69-70 – 139, while Walt Abraham (USA) won the Legends division with 79-84 – 163.   Please click here for complete US Cup scores   In the World Golf Teachers Cup, Team USA powered its way to a 39-stroke victory over Team Canada to win its seventh team championship.  Super Senior Ed Williams fired a 6-under-par total of 138 to lead USA, and he also won the individual Super Senior championship.   Douris won his second title of the week in the Championship division of the individual competition, shooting 69-68 – 137 to cruise to a 6-shot victory over Michael Wolf.  LeDuc also pulled off her own individual champion sweep by taking the World Cup Ladies title with 75-78 – 153.  Jim Perez captured the Senior title after winning a three-man playoff over Ron Longoria and Tipo Toomalatai.  All finished at 152.  Abraham completed the third individual double-sweep of the week by winning the Legends division with 71-82 – 153.   Please click here for complete World Cup team scores   Please click here for complete World Cup individual scores
