This position will assist the Director of Golf with the overall day-to-day golf operations, with an emphasis on the entire golf shop operation. He or she will help supervise and manage the total golf operations in the absence of the Director of Golf and provide professional services to ensure that the members and guests have exceptional experiences that exceed the expectations of a private club.

Reports to: Director of Golf

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee Point of Sale and daily calls
Helps with monthly inventory assessments and adjustments
Assists with weekly shop staff scheduling and payroll objectives
Supports and follows Cove Communities and Point Sebago policy at all times
All other duties as assigned
Conduct all facets of the merchandising process including ordering, receiving, pricing, creating visual displays and maintaining an attractive, organized, and orderly retail environment
Collaborate with the golf shop team in identifying and creating merchandise and marketing strategies, buying plans and budgets
Maintain strong business and employee relationships by visiting with vendors and members, answering their questions, responding to special requests, and describing features and options
Oversee all orders and follow up, including operation of ordering and demo club software system
Orchestrate trunk shows, fashion shows, sales, and mobile pro shops as scheduled
Track orders and inventory flow on daily basis
Seek and take advantage of opportunities as it relates to product and service knowledge, job skills and training while remaining current and knowledgeable regarding competitors, technology changes and trends
Promote and market via social media and other communication methods the merchandise offerings, club programs, events, and other club services
Help to manage tournaments, leagues, and other events
Provide outstanding customer service to the members and guests by understanding and being able to perform all golf shop operations
Option to help with player development programs including junior golf
