Job purpose

Under the direction of the Head Golf Professional work in the golf shop achieving sales targets while providing excellent customer service at all times, giving advice and up-selling products and services, taking responsibility for the golf shop being tidy and professionally presented at all times, assist in organizing and running competitions, making sales calls, promote Palencia Golf Club and Hampton Golf to maintain existing event schedule and promote new events. Represents the first point of contact and responds or directs customers accordingly. Primary function is to make calls in a friendly, diplomatic and helpful manor, respond to Club questions, and log all data provided by the client into solicitation list.

Duties and responsibilities

Make sales calls as to promote Hampton Golf Clubs and bring outside business to our golf courses.
Make a minimum of 10 calls per day and complete all follow-ups efficiently.
Add a minimum of 10 new contacts per month.
Identifies potential tournament leads by conducting weekly, bi weekly or monthly outside sales calls.
Responsible for attending weekly manager meetings and submitting weekly reports to General Manager and Head Golf Professional.
Work with Head Golf Professional to develop, schedule, and facilitate both member and outside club events.
Works with both MGA and WGA event chairpersons to develop, schedule and facilitate event calendars.
Represents the first point of contact and responds or directs clients accordingly.Record, maintain and post all credit book postings to members accounts.
Proficient use of Golf Genius or similar type tournament software programs.Working knowledge of Jonas POS Software or similar POS systems.
Maintain and post all members scores through GHIN
Organize and supervise outside golf operation for outings including outside service
Accurately addresses Club & golf course questions.
Accurately collects designated information from clients and inputs information correctly into the solicitation list.
Monitors all calls and self-recordings.
Inputs the following information into the Weekly Sales Report at the end of each work day.
Performs any requested administrative duties.
Operates within all guidelines, policies, standards and constraints as established by Hampton Golf.
Assist with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Two years of sales or customer service experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Must have passed PAT

Level 2 PGA Apprentice preferred Bachelor’s degree preferred

Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment Strong work ethic and detail oriented

Present professional image and appearance at all times
