INAUGURAL UNITED STATES MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE HELD IN MAY

The inaugural United States Match Play Championship will be held May 7-11, 2012, at Indian Hills Golf Course in Fort Pierce, Florida. The event is open to all professional and amateur golfers nationwide.  The entry fee is $275 and the field will consist of the first 100 paid entries.  First place will be $5,000, based on 100 paid entries.   This national championship is unique in the sense that it is the only match play tournament open to all golfers, not just amateurs.  All golfers will compete in a 36-hole stroke play qualifier to determine who advances into the match play portion of the event.  For more information, please call Robert Kleabir, tournament coordinator, at the USGTF National Office at (888) 346-3290, or visit the official website of the tournament, www.UnitedStatesMatchPlayChampionship.com
