By Rafael Conde, MGTF president   The Mexican Golf Teachers Federation is growing by leaps and bounds, and we have been quite active in conducting certification courses nationwide. Recently, one of our courses took place at Club Campestre de Leon in central Mexico. The director of golf, Silvestre Mena, first assistant Cesar Suarez, along with several others, passed the required exams. In Mexico City, Rosendo Rodrigues, director of golf at Sanya Margarita Golf Club, and his assistant professional, Andres Razo, attended and also passed the Level III course. Rosendo is a touring pro in Mexico and is the brother of the number one player in Mexico, Jose de Jesus Rodriguez, nicknamed ““El Camaron.””   We are now focusing on developing a program to coach and train Mexican golfers who can participate in representing Mexico in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Much help will be needed to sponsor this program, and we will keep the WGTF community informed of our progress.   Finally, we want to congratulate USGTF member and Mexican national Jim Perez for his TV achievements and to let him know that, here in Mexico, we are all proud of his excellent golf teaching career. Congratulations Jim!   Best personal regards to all USGTF staff members for their continued support and valuable advice.
