Being the youngest to accomplish something in golf is nothing new to one of the LPGA’s brightest stars, Lexi Thompson. At the age of 12, she became the youngest to ever qualify for the US Women’s Open. In 2011, she became the youngest winner in LPGA Tour history at the age of 16, and also has several other “youngest-evers” to her credit. A long hitter, Thompson stands at six feet tall and regularly drives the ball over 270 yards. She won her first major championship this past year at the Kraft Nabisco Championship, outlasting another child prodigy, Michelle Wie, in a thrilling final-round battle. She appears unperturbed under the high pressure glare of final-round competition, and is sure to be a champion golfer long into the future.
