USGTF Master Golf Teaching Professionals Ray Savoy from Greenbelt, Maryland, and Pat Church from Eugene, Oregon, were inducted into the USGTF Hall of Fame on October 23 at the closing banquet and awards ceremony for the 19th annual United States Golf Teachers Cup. Savoy is the founder and director of the Langston Junior Boys and Girls Golf Club in Washington, DC. The club teaches kids the game of golf, along with providing them with life lessons. In addition, the club hosts a scholarship tournament each year which has provided hundreds of kids in the metro DC area with college scholarships. Pat Church - Hall of FameChurch is a two-time coach for Team USA in the Special Olympics, first in 2011 in Athens, Greece, and next year in Los Angeles. The amount of time and energy required to be a Team USA coach is not insignificant, and also requires an individual to give selflessly. Church is the first woman to be inducted into the USGTF Hall of Fame.
