I was born in 1962 in Lincoln, United Kingdom, a small manufacturing town and like many of my counterparts I left school and did an engineering apprenticeship. I went on to work in senior management positions in engineering for over 20 years.
I have always been a sports enthusiast but on taking up golf I was hooked. I moved to Barbados in the Caribbean and from there I traveled to Port St Lucie, Florida to complete my USGTF level III certification.
In 2010 I became a teaching professional at Barbados Golf Club. I was recently commissioned by the club to build a golf driving range following a hurricane that destroyed the original one and also to initiate a golf school program.
Teaching golf gives me the opportunity to share both my love of the game, and some critical values, in a fun way, which I have found are essential to life, especially with young people through my school golf programs.
