USGTF professionals Anthony Benny, Christopher Richards, Ricky Campbell, James Douris, Dave Belling, Geoff Bryant, Ed Williams and Mark Harman competed January 4-7 at the Caribbean Connections Pro-Am, presented by the Tobago Junior Golf Association, at the Tobago Plantations Golf Course just outside Scarborough, Tobago.  Playing alongside luminaries from the PGA and Champions Tour, the USGTF contingent acquitted themselves quite nicely.  Douris finished in 4th place with scores of 78-72-68-67 – 285 (-3), while Richards checked in with 74-74-71-67 – 286 (-2).  Bryant led his Pro-Am team to a 4th-place finish in that division.  The individual tournament was won by Patrick Reed, a two-time first-team All-American from Augusta State, who fired a 14-under-par score of 274.   The Pro-Am was held to promote a tournament series that will be held in the Caribbean beginning this year, with stops scheduled for St. Lucia, Jamaica, and Barbados, among others.  The Tobago Junior Golf Association also stands to benefit from the pro-am through greater visibility.
