Be Ready to Teach!! Increase In Demand For Teachers
According to the National Golf Foundation, from 2000 to 2019, the number of rounds played in the United States steadily decreased, and many courses closed. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world in 2020, people turned to golf as a safe, outdoor activity since so many other activities were shuttered, and the number of rounds played was the highest since 2002. But, would that momentum continue into 2021?
The answer is a resounding “yes.” The number of rounds played in 2021 actually increased 6% over 2020, surpassing rounds played in 2020. The good news is that people who discovered or re-discovered golf have found that the sport offers them tremendous enjoyment and in spending quality time with friends and family. Demand for golf teachers increased, as well.Time will tell if this upward trend continues, but all signs at this moment look good.
